Pleasing number of bookings for the supplier show in Augsburg: An anticipated 20 % increase in exhibitors

The organisers are expecting some 180 exhibitors to take part in the second edition of the supplier show FMB-Süd. This would represent a rise of 20 % compared with the show which premiered in February 2017.

When one show comes to an end, it’s time to focus on the next one. Although FMB – the supplier show for mechanical engineering 2017 in Bad Salzuflen has only just finished, the trade show organiser Clarion Events has now entered the crucial phase of its preparations for the forthcoming FMB-Süd, which will be held in Augsburg on 7th and 8th February 2018.

Once again, FMB-Süd will be transferring the successful concept of FMB, which was implemented for the first time thirteen years ago, to the southern half of Germany: A compact fair, covering the entire range of products and services offered by suppliers to the mechanical engineering industry. One of the objectives of the organiser is to enable both the exhibitors and the visitors to take part in the show, while keeping the costs and required effort as low as possible.

This concept has evidently worked out. At the début in February, 144 exhibitors showcased their products and services. So far, 130 companies have registered to take part in the second FMB-Süd. Christian Enßle, Portfolio Manager at Clarion Events Deutschland GmbH: A large number of companies exhibiting at FMB-Nord were so satisfied with the show that they booked or reserved a stand for FMB-Süd right there and then.”

The organiser anticipates that in the medium term FMB-Süd in Augsburg will develop in a positive fashion similar to FMB in Bad Salzuflen. Experience has shown that smaller companies decide to take part in the show at quite short notice. This means that there is a good chance of achieving a 20 % increase in the number of exhibitors compared with the 2017 show.
