The FMB-Süd has meanwhile developed into a meeting point for this sector in Augsburg. The trade show organiser Easyfairs has carried the successful concept of the FMB – the supplier show for mechanical engineering (which will be taking place for the 15th time in Bad Salzuflen from 6 to 8 November 2019) over to the southern half of Germany. For the fourth time, visitors to the show in February 2020 will obtain a compact overview of the supply chain in the field of mechanical engineering – from metalworking to drive, electrical and control engineering and assembly and handling technology right through to industry-related services and robotics.
As usual, the event will offer a “blend” of regional and national exhibitors. Christian Enßle, Portfolio Manager FMB: “Global players will be represented at the FMB-Süd just as much as small and medium-sized specialist enterprises. And the companies which have registered to date already cover a broad spectrum. This is exactly what we are aiming for!”
ABB-Stotz (electrical engineering), Euchner (safety relays and systems), Hiwin (electrical drive engineering), RK Rose + Krieger (linear technology, profile systems) and Taktomat (components and systems for automation technology) are currently among the companies which have registered once again as exhibitors. Some newcomers, which have booked their stands over the past few weeks, include TR-Electronic (drive engineering and sensor technology) and I+F Antriebs- und Maschinentechnik (ball-type linear drives and linear guides).
This means that there are already more than 70 exhibitors based in the northern and southern half of Germany in (almost) equal shares. Exhibitors from Austria, Italy and the Netherlands are also represented. Christian Enßle: “Traditionally, many companies make their reservations at the FMB in Salzuflen held in November. We are thus expecting more than 150 exhibitors in total, which will be kicking off their year of trade shows with the FMB-Süd.”
The organiser has been concentrating its efforts on creating a fair to get the trade show year 2020 off to a strong start both for the exhibitors and for the visitors. This intensive work has been carried out in collaboration with Messe Augsburg and with the local key cooperation partner: The Mechatronics + Automation Cluster regards itself as a platform for the exchange of information on the topic of mechatronics. More than 200 companies, predominantly from Bavaria, are active members of this cluster. The association recommends its members to take part in the FMB-Süd and is also involved, among other things, in the planning of the programme of lectures accompanying the fair.
